When Jimmy Beaumont signed with Colpix Records as a solo artist(see in this blog) his group The Skyliners continue recording.this time the group consisted of Jack Gardner(Lead),Janet Vogel(High Tenor).Wally Lester(Tenor),Sammy Mauro(Baritone) and Jackie Taylor(Bass).

This formation recorded in 1962 one single for Cameo Records with the ballads_Everyone But You/Three Coins In the Fountain.

  1. Cameo Skyliners as pictured left to right were Jack Garner (lead), Jackie Taylor, Wally Lester and Sammy Mauro with Janet Vogel above.
Jack replaced Jimmy Beaumont. Sammy replaced Joe Verscharen. Joe Rock was their manager

  2. I believe Jimmy Beaumont was the lead vocalist on EVERYONE, BUT YOU. You may want to double check your data.

  3. No, Jimmy Beaumont did not record with the Cameo group. Jack Garner sure sounds a lot like Jimmy (less so on the Cameo Parkway Vocal Groups cd, where you can hear this song in unprecedented clarity). Jackie Taylor also sounded a lot like Jimmy. Jackie sang Tired Of Me on the Skyliners' first album; most people assume it's Jimmy.

  5. I receive this informatin from Jean Holzer...

Jack Gardner did sing with the Skyliners. He also sang Warm on the Hero label. When Kenny Vance was a teenager in New York with a band Stan Vincent managed Jackie Lloyd, who actually was Jack Gardner. I am Jack Gardners widow. Jack died on January 12, 1986. He has three who survive him. John, Bill, and James

  9. I stand corrected, Jack Gardner was lead on "Everyone, But You", but he did sound quite a bit like Jimmy Beaumont. I was completely fooled.

  10. Jack Gardner went on to sing as lead with The Skyliners at all functions. Jimmy Beaumont does not give any credence to Jack Gardner or Sammy Mauro......what a shame. Jimmy tried a solo career that went nowhere... Thank you Roland for your due diligence. Only Jack Gardner sang lead on The Cameo label...The correct photo of The Skyliners with Jack Gardner and Sammy Mauro should be with their recording of Everyone But You and Three Coins in The Fountain....
