Another Rare Doo-Wop Picture

  1. The third member from the Left in the rear lineup is James E. Murphy from the Bronx. I was in the Navy with him aboard the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Lake Champlain in the early to mid 60's. He had showed me this photo back then and I've been trying to get a copy from him or his wife to no avail. Thanks for putting it up. It was rumored that Jimmy died in an auto accident in the the late 60's in Rhode Island, but it can't be substantiated.

  3. My grandpa is Joey fornino on the top right of the picture he was the lead singer of the group and is now 71 years old and lives in Yonkers ny

  4. I just wanted to let you all know, James E. Murphy is still alive as far as I know. He was married to my late husband's sister, Karen Bird for a few years, but was still friends with the family. Last I spoke to him was to call and tell him my husband has died, he was by then living in North Carolina, I believe. We bought his mother's furniture from him when he moved.

    1. hi Jimmy Murphy was married to my sister Della way back in the early 70s. They had 3 children together. She has since passed on but I would love to get ahold of Jimmy if possible. Please pass my info along.

  7. Jimmy Murphy was married to my sister Della and is father to 3 of her children. She has passed on but I'll never forget Jimmy and can still hear him singing Temember When every time I think of him. if any of you are in contact with him, please tell him to message me.

  8. Just a follow up has anyone heard anything more of Jimmy Murphy. I would still love to talk to him. Show him pictures of his kids now adults.

  9. My dad passed away July 4th 2018 in Florida. He lived with me. I met my twin brother and sister Patrick and Patricia. I remember going to Lowell Ma.. I did not know about a 3rd sibling.   10. Jimmy Murphy was married in 1966 to a gal name Cici in Providence, RI. Can anyone give me info. I'm seeing that he lived in Florida..and In North Carolina. It's somewhat confusing. Does "Unknown" have any answer?
