By 1960 the band added a regular vocal group The Tren-dells(see in this blog) and a solo lead singer,Paul Penny for their live perfomances,see below picture...


In 1961 Hardy and Ray assambled another Carnation's band with a female member and recorded several instrumental sides.

    Years have past, trying to find out if my cousin Carl Martin played with the Carnations. He was older than me and I believe I heard stories of his music. He has been deceased for a number of years, taken way too soon. I see a Hardy Martin listed. Carl lived in the Fern Creek Area
