THE TREYTONES...B-W Records


The Trey Tones (also spelled Treytones) was formed in Ohio as a vocal group trio by  Bob Musselman, John Buss, and Sylvester "Vester" Copley. They singing locally backed with a friend band named the Collegians.


 In 1960 the group recorded one 45's for the B-W label with the songs_Blind Date / Cool Beat. The songs were in a typical teen vocal group sound, the  ballad "Blind Date" written by Musselman, and the uptempo "Cool Beat" written by Copley.


n 1964 the group recorded_Nonymous. a crazy rocker song with a Bo Diddley like beat, with lyrics as "look like she's lost a hatchet fight"!. The flip side was their version of the Bobby Darin classic "Dream Lover". after this recording the group continue in the music bussines for one year and finally in 1965 disbanded.
