Posting this group as a doowop group was a mistake, but the Dantes were a first-rate Punk/garage band from Columbus , Ohio. The lead guitar was Dave Workman. My suspicion as to why this record entered the doowop database is that it was recorded at Ed Wingate's Golden World Studios in Detroit. Golden World was an R&B Soul oriented operation but who ever produced and engineered "Can't" did a superlative job. The Dantes recorded a couple really strong covers of Rolling Stones album cuts, "Connection" being the best. The Stones responded by releasing their cuts as singles. The Dantes versions died in their tracks...
