I have the 45 of this. There was a Review of it in Cash Box Magazine on September 1, 1956. The review also mentioned that he was 12 years old at the time. (No Review in The Billboard.)

HI. I grew up with Ray Errico in West New York, New Jersey (61st Street). I spent every day of my young life with him and his bother Paulie playing street games and just hanging out. His father wanted him to make a record and probably financed the project. He was the only one in our neighborhood to make a record in those days so it was a big deal to us. I had a copy of the record but none of us ever heard it on the radio and we listened every day and night. I hope this helps in your research. I made my living as a musician / Capitol Recording Artist / Rock & Roll Historian / Lecturer.
