In early 1957 Gil Garfield (Gil Fields) from the group The Cheers moved of New York to Los Angeles and formed a vocal duo with his friend 'brotherly' Bunny Botkin.
In March they signed with Cadence records and recorded "Oh Tell Me Why / In The Evening (By The Moonlight)", in the summer signed with Verve records where recorded "Passion Flower".
Since the spring of 1959 it adds a third component, Dave Pierson, singer and saxophonist native of Los Angeles, member of the group the Four Grads.
