Hackensack, New Jersey, 1960, The marriage formed by Joseph Durante and Loraine Durante decided to form a vocal group and for this they recruited the sisters June & Wilda Cromarty who are Hackensack High School students.
In the mid of the year they have the opportunity of made a records for Paul Cohen's Todd label in New York, the group recorded the sides "All of My Darling / So Glad". After this recording move to Big Top records owned by Julian and Jean Aberbach as a subsidiary of Hill and Range Music where recorded "The Treasure In My Heart / Sweet Sweet Memory" under the name of Joey & The Embers.
