Popish vocal group from Los Angeles consisted of Jackie Walker (Tenor),Sally Stevens(Soprano),Jim Mitchell(Bass) and Jim Patton(Baritone).
In 1960-61 they recorded three 45 RPM for Everest Records...
-Over The Rainbow/My Bonnie.
-Trees/Look For The Silver Lining.
-The Bells of St. Mary's/Comin' Thru The Rye.(1961)
And one in 1962 for Everest Records as...
JACKIE WALKER & THE BAYSIDERS.
-I'm Always Chasing Rainbows/Dearly Beloved.
Also in 1961 this label release a Baysider's Lp"Over The Rainbow" with 12 songs_Over The Rainbow / Trees / You Were Mean't For Me / Look for the silver lining All I Do Is Dream Of You / My Blue Heaven / I'm Always Chasing Rainbows / The Bells of St. Mary's / Comin' Thru The Rye / Dearly Beloved / Love Somebody / My Bonnie.

Does anyone know which version of Over The Rainbow was released first ,The Baysiders or The Demensions

Both versions sound extremely similar vocally with just a slight variation in the orchestration ……...Geoff
