I was the first tenor in the group, The Illusions and to this day I do not understand why, The Letter, never became a hit. Big time record label, great lead singer and harmonies. I am 81 now and would like to know why we never made it big. We had so many more original songs to record written by our lead singer, Sammy DeMarco. Also our bass, Ralph Florio and our 2nd tenor, Charlie VanNostrand wrote the flip side, Henry and Henrietta about 2 flys who got married and had fleas. Oh well, wasted talent. Joseph Dailey Jr. was our baritone. Dominick Bartolomeo
