Later the group recorded as a beach music band until the 80's (in this time over 60 accomplished guitarists, keyboardists, trumpet players, drummers, bass players & singers have been a part of the band) and have a local hit with the side_Summertime’s Calling Me.

Bob Meyer released a southeastern regional hit "Behold" in 1964. The Catalinas also had a regional hit with "You Haven't the Right" featuring lead singer Tommy Black in 1967, on the Scepter label.
