Thanks to George L. Kafcopoulos
George Kafcos (Kafcopoulos) and Kenny Hamilton from Flushing singing in the street corners with another school friends, Algie Hough and Larry Marshall.
David Campanella was living in Glen Cove NY at the time, he was son of Roy Campanella, nicknamed "Campy", an American baseball player, primarily as a catcher. Finally David form part of the street corner group But as Algie and Larry leave the group they recruited Joey Vertucci and The DellChords were born
Now the group was made up of one black guy (David) and three white guys (Kenny, George & Joey).
They signed with Richard Oats of Kane Records in 1959. where they recorded two songs in 1959 The classic "Over The Rainbow" and "Everything's That Way". George Kafcos wrote the words and music to "Everything's That Way" for his girlfriend at the time, a really cute blond nicknamed "Chickey".
LISTEN...
David Campanella wrote the riff at the fade out end of the song and that is his voice doing the riff..
The group never receive royalties for this recording and when David began have problems with the law, this broke up. Later unfortunately David died at the age of 41 due to drugs.
