THE FOUR EPICS aka THE VESPERS aka THE EXODUS

Trio formed in 1959 in South Philadelphia know as The Bancrofts(took their name from Bancroft street) and originally consisted of Jack McKnight(1st Tenor),Mickey Neil(2nd Tenor) and Jimmy Mullen(Baritone).in early 1961 they add Bobby Riccobene(Bass).

In 1962 recorded as The Four Epics for Heritage Records_I'm On My Way To Love/When The Music Ends.and in 1963 for Laurie Records...
-Again/I Love You Diane.
-How I Wish I Was A Single/Dance Joanne.
In this time the group have many unreleased sides as_Wedding Bells.Recorded in November of 1961.

The Four Epics back up on releases of Billy Lane,Tony French,Mark Valentino,Chubby Checker,Freddy Cannon... and in 1963 with Bob Finizio of the Fabulous Four and Frank Peaker of The Blue-Notes backed Johnny Greco on_Rocket Ride.for Pageant Records.
