THE KEYNOTES...Dot records

Nashville, Tennessee In 1953, they were four David Lipscomb college students who decided to organize a quartet. 1953 Billy Ables (second tenor), Douglas Taylor (baritone), John Fisk (bass) and Ray Flannery (first tenor) from David Lipscomb decided to form a vocal group know as The Keytones.

 They won first prize from a talent show and soon auditioned for Randy Wood of Dot records who signed the group and this recorded in 1954 the sides "Who / They Say" with a Pop vocal group sound.

Below the only know picture of the group from the 1954  newspaper THE NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN.
