THE SKYLARKS ... Decca, RCA & Verve records

The Skylarks were one of the most accomplished popular white vocal groups within the Pop and jazz style of the 40's and early 50's.

In the early 50's the group consisted of Gilda Maiken, George Becker, Joe Hamilton, Earl Brown and Jackie Gershwin.

They are present in the doo wop guides with .....

B side from the film "Springtime in the Rockies" charted #28 in april 1953.

-Old Man River / There's a Boat Leavin. Verve records-1957.

They probably recorded too ...

- The Glory of love / You And I. Decca records-1951.

These sides only are for fans of the late 40's and early 50's white vocal group pop sound.
