The "MOA" reference on the picture sleeve refers to the Music Operators of America, an association of juke box operators, at whose 1959 convention Capitol artists Donna Hightower and Sonny James were featured suggesting this PS was made available only to convention attendees.

From 1962 this 45 rpm record is on the GARY label. It is THE ULTRA-TONES out of Louisville Kentucky doing the surf rocker instrumental LOCOMOTION (No connection to the Carole King Little Eva Hit) b/w SISTER OF THE GIRL I ONCE LOVED a Teen side.

This 45's is present in the doo wop guides with a value of $50 but they not have a doo wop sound.

The Black Group ... THE FABULOUS FOUR

Rare photo of the Fabulous Four in Melic records, surely it is the first time that many people see it, also many people always wondered if these Fabulous Four of Melic records were the white group of the same name that recorded for Chancellor records, with this photo mystery solved.

THE ALADDINS ... Frankie records

Early in November 1958 , four youths from Bulkeley High School in Hartford named the "Aladdins" made their debut on the Kathy Godfrey Show. The Aladdins, whose manager is Frank Drury, president of the Police Athletic League are John Nicolini, Russel Stanavage, Butch Oelkuct and Richard DiTuccio. The group recorded two songs: "Dot My Love" and "My Charlene" released by Frankie Records. 

Frankie Records was one of the many Indies labels in Connecticut in the late 1950's and 1960's. Founded by Jimmy and Johnny Mastrio. " Dot My Love" ranks in the top 40 locally. At the end of 1958 The Aladdins received an invitation to appear on Ted Mack's Amateur Show but had to refuse since the group was now classed as professionals.

I confess that I don't know if the girl group that sings on this acetate is a white group (it seems so to me), but I'm sharing it because I think it's a little-known recording that fans of girl groups would like.

Vocal group with band from Washington D.C. formed at Anacostia high school by Joe Saitta (1st tenor), Butch Boswell (Bass), Hunter Phillis (Lead) and Billy Vabolis (2nd Tenor).

Collage friends who liked the sound of early 60's vocal groups, they spent much time singing on street corners but failed to get any release as a doo wop group.

At the beginning of 1966 they released a 45 rpm paid for by them with two of their northern soul songs "No Room For Two / Does She Love Me".
