THE DUAL TONES aka THE DOLPHINS

Duo from Port Chester in New York formed by Anthony Fotia and James Cascio, in 1959 as The Dual Tones recorded the songs "Bubble-Gum Bop! / I'll Belong To You. On the small New York label, Sabre records.

This recording appears in the book "The Complete Book of Doo Wop", but does not appear in the doowop guide of Jeff Kreiter.

These recordings would lead them to perform with groups such as The Crests with Johnny Maestro. At the end of 1960, the Valmor record label hired them for their subsidiary label, Empress records, in this company they recorded in 1961 the ballads "Rainbow's End / One More For The Road " as The Dolphins.

According to Jeff Kreiter's guide, this record label released a 45 rpm promo for this duo with only the song "Rainbow's End". And as you can hear in these two songs they don't have a doo-wop sound.

After this recording Anthony moved to the Bronx and the duo broke up, in 1963 The Paramounts on Laurie records recorded the song "One More For The Road".
