In early 1958 in Leetsdale, Pa the brother of Jim Drake of the white group The Tempos who have one-hit wonder with "See You In September." decided to form a vocal group for which he brought together several students from the Quaker Valley School, John Sradomski, Daryl Adams and Duke McGaughy and himself, Joe Drake, Ross Buck also temporarily participated in the group.
In 1958 they recorded two songs "The One I Love" / "I Should Live So Long" for Tabby records, this recording was popular locally and the group made many appearances and were regulars at Club Newman.

Due to obligations with their studies, the group had personnel changes and at the end of 1958 it was a quintet with Dick Kruppa as lead voice, although no recording of this formation is known.

They took their name from Carlo's 1957 Ford convertible(with spinner wheel hubcap wheels) and signed with a Mercury producer named Wally who send the band to a recording studio in Long Beach,CA.

This band from Palm Beach County in Miami, formed by Bill Ande (lead guitar), Tom Condra( rhythm guitar), Jim Tolliver( bass) and Dave Hieronymus( drums) is present in the doo wop guides with their oriented doo wop side_She's Mine. recorded in 1964 for BYP Records with the B Side_Theme Of American Beetles.

C. L. & The Pictures were a white rock band from Houston,Texas. The original lineup featured Charles "C. L." Larry Weldon on vocals, Charlie Broyles on guitar, Trent Poole on drums, Leroy Rodriguez on bass, and two sax players,Leo grimaldo and Glenn Spreen.
From 1960 to 1966 the band have many personal changes and recorded a variety of Rock,Pop,Doo-Wop and Soul songs for Dunes,Sabra,Cadette,Kirk and Monument Records.
