Brothers Jimmy Carlos(17 years old) and Pete Antoniano(15 years old) from Los Angeles started singing at Banning High School in Wilmington under the name of The Shadows. Finally in 1960 update the Valen’s hit _La Bamba. and have a big local success but without a nationally recognition the brothers broke up with Del-Fi and later signed with Zen Records where in 1963 released the Beach Boys soundalike tune _Meet My Town.LISTEN_La Bamba...

I worked with the Carlos Brothers during the late '50's at the Rock and Roll shows at the El Monte Legion Stadium, Harmony Park Ballroom in Anaheim, Long Beach Municipal Auditorium and several other SoCal venues. I played bass in the back up band. I just realized by reading this site they were not blood brothers. Seems they kept that fact hidden. Talented and exciting performers and classy guys.
