Interracial group formed in the Bronx, NY. under the name of The Celebreties and formed by Jo Jo (Lead) , Douglas Rodriguez, Billy, Perfly and a friend (unremember name today).
In 1961 recorded for Music Makers records "I Want You / Mambo Daddy" with King Curtis's Band who did a fabulous solo on his Sax with "Mambo Daddy" on the B side. A side charted #31 on the WABC Swinging Sound Survey April 18, 1961.
Later Douglas Rodriguez was part of The Rialtos.
