Jerry Diamond's a 22-year-old lad from Boston, Massachusetts recorded a 1957 45 rpm for Atlantic records with the songs "Sunburned Lips / Don't Trust Love". Without any success.

In the spring of 1958 he returned to the recording studios this time at RCA to record the songs "Let's Make It (Ooh-Whad-A-Ya-Mean) / Lindy-Lou" accompanied by a trio of girls known as The Sparkles. and that the record label used its artists as vocal support. This recording is present in the mentioned book.
