Band present in the Jeff Kreiter doo wop guide.
They started out as "Donnie and the 4-D's" (each with a stage name starting with the letter "D" - Donnie, Doc, Duke, Dino, & Danny), and them when one of the guys left the band, they changed the band name to "the Sultans". The band members were : Donnie Boyd, lead vocals & guitar, Danny Capaldo, lead guitar, Robert Babcock (Duke), bass guitar, John Cecere (Dino) rhythm guitar, and Robert Sandfort (Doc) on drums.

On The A side, at the end, Donnie Boyd is imitating another big name in this genre of music, by the name of Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
