THE QUOTATIONS. ( This Quotations group was the Bronx version where 3 members later joined Larry Chance's Earls. (This is not the Brooklyn Quotations ca 1960-1964 on Verve.)
The third member from the Left in the rear lineup is James E. Murphy from the Bronx. I was in the Navy with him aboard the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Lake Champlain in the early to mid 60's. He had showed me this photo back then and I've been trying to get a copy from him or his wife to no avail. Thanks for putting it up. It was rumored that Jimmy died in an auto accident in the the late 60's in Rhode Island, but it can't be substantiated.
I just wanted to let you all know, James E. Murphy is still alive as far as I know. He was married to my late husband's sister, Karen Bird for a few years, but was still friends with the family. Last I spoke to him was to call and tell him my husband has died, he was by then living in North Carolina, I believe. We bought his mother's furniture from him when he moved.
Spindlechick.. I've been searching for Jimmy Murphy for years! Please get in touch with me via FaceBook Chat if possible. OR Search for Stan Adams in Chicago or Go to Gmail address. Thanx!! SA
Chris Ruggiero’s voice is amazing. I am so glad that a young man is taking on the mantle of Doo Wop music. You understood the words and loved the beat so unlike the unintelligible music today. Good luck, Chris.
Jimmy Murphy was married to my sister Della and is father to 3 of her children. She has passed on but I'll never forget Jimmy and can still hear him singing Temember When every time I think of him. if any of you are in contact with him, please tell him to message me.
hi Jimmy Murphy was married to my sister Della way back in the early 70s. They had 3 children together. She has since passed on but I would love to get ahold of Jimmy if possible. Please pass my info along.

I heard you on PBS and thought you were very good. Did you keep up with the music or go elsewhere?
