DEUCES WILD Doo Wop?

This duo from California formed by Gary Vallette and Ron Amerman is present in all the doo wop guides but really they don't have a doo wop sound.

They recorded in 1959 for Specialty Records the sides...

-Meaning Of Love/I'm In A Whirl.

LISTEN...

In 1960 recorded for Sheen Records the sides...

-By Golly Gee/Just The boy Next Door.
The duo wrote both sides.arranged and conducted by famous Don Ralke.

LISTEN...

Another Deuces Wild's recordings were on Faro,Vault or Moss Records but their sides don't are listed in the doo wop books and I don't know if they have relation with the above duo.

hi I'm the son of Ron Amerman and as far as i knew they were not a do-wop group. I believe the other songs were their's as well with other record companies. in the early 60's he and Valette formed a folk trio called the Johnson boy's that lasted till the mid sixties when vallete and the other member left to start a rock group. Ron struck out on his own with the stage name Fats Johnson and worked as a singer/comic for forty years till his passing in 2007.
