I receive mail about if this group THE TRI-TONES is a vocal group about their sound and about their recordings...
Unafortunely for the doo wop fans this Tri-Tones group is a band from Trenton, NJ with Vince Iorio on Sax, that recorded one INSTRUMENTAL single in 1955 for Grand Records with the sides_Sweet And Lovely/Blues In The Closet.
In 1957 the single was re-released by Jamie Records as The Tritones.

I have just picked up the Jamie version and it is non-identical to the Grand; there is no flute, and the choruses follow a different sequence. Uncle Dave Lewis
