Hi! On this record Jeffrey Gyle of the Vogues was my beloved uncle, who raised me half the time. (Formerly he was Joe Geil … "Corky" in the Little Rascals, featured child dancer in Oscar-winning film "You Can't Take It with You" with Jimmy Stewart, member of famous swing-tap group the "Jivin Jacks and Jills" who made several films, dancer in Broadway play "Of Thee I Sing," … etc) … thought you'd like to know. I'm trying now to gather all materials I can, to show-and-tell in a "celebration of life" for my Uncle Jeff on March 3, 2020 - do you know where I can procure the Vogues' records or anything else of his? (I have managed to purchase a program from the Broadway play, that lists him in the credits.)
… FROM Rita Darlene Geil (daughter of Jeffrey Gyle's [Joe Geil's] older brother Paul Geil - who was first trumpet with Benny Goodman, Paul Whiteman, Clyde Lucas, etc., and who is featured on records by Frank Sinatra, Tony Martin, Dinah Shore, etc.). WHEW!
