They Recorded on the Chicago based label Adam Records with the instrumental band The Capitals aka The Mus-Twangs (see picture below)...

The 4 Uniques did many gigs and played at various festivals in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. In November 1961, before more than 2,000 spectators, they served as the opening act for well-know singer Bobby Rydell’ in Madison (Wisconsin) and one second recording on Adam was released...

The 4 Uniques fit perfectly into my favorite genre, what I call "white boys who can't sing."
There were a few heartthrobs who fell into this category, Fabian and Frankie Avalon are only a few, but they could never compare to the white boys who weren't discovered, took their music seriously, sang their best, and gave their everything. What makes their music classic, to me, is that although they couldn't sing rock-n-roll brought out everything that was gutsy, and yes soulful, in their styles.
Rock-n-roll is so much more than just notes on a page.
