THE CORVELLS aka THE FORTUNES

The Corvells was a mixed interracial group from Richmond Hill High School in the Queens, NY. Composed by Patsy Cumming, Terry Jordan, Charlie Angelo and Clyde Lewis. tey participated in many school parties and local concerts which led them to participating in Tv performance in Baltimore & Washington DC.

In early March 1963 the group had a recording session at MGM studios where they recorded four songs, "The Jokes On Me / One (Is Such A Lonely Number)" was released on the subsidiary label, Cub records. For the two remaining songs "The Ghoul In School / You Don't Know (What I've Been Through)" the Cub record label decided to release them in late 1963 under the name The Fortunes.
